Real, transparent pricing for split units, cassettes and VRF systems — no vague "call for quote" guesswork.
Search "AC installation cost Kenya" and you'll find wildly different numbers, because the honest answer depends on three things: the unit's cooling capacity (measured in HP or BTU), the system type (a basic split unit vs a ceiling cassette vs a full VRF system), and site-specific factors like refrigerant pipe length, electrical capacity and access difficulty. Below are real price bands based on our own installations, not marketing copy.
| Capacity | Typical Use | Installed Price Range (KSh) |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 HP | Small bedroom, single office | 45,000 – 65,000 |
| 1.5 HP | Standard bedroom, small living room | 55,000 – 85,000 |
| 2.0 HP | Larger living room, medium office | 75,000 – 110,000 |
| 3.0 HP | Open-plan office, retail unit | 110,000 – 165,000 |
| System Type | Typical Use | Installed Price Range (KSh) |
|---|---|---|

A standard 1.5HP-2HP split unit installation typically costs KSh 55,000 to KSh 110,000 including the unit, depending on brand and capacity. Larger commercial and VRF systems are priced after a free site survey since cost depends on zoning, ductwork and the number of indoor units.
Our quoted price includes the unit, standard mounting, a standard-length refrigerant line set, and commissioning. Extra costs can include additional pipe length beyond the standard allowance, electrical circuit upgrades, and scaffolding or crane access for hard-to-reach outdoor unit positions — we flag all of these clearly during the free site survey, never as a surprise after work starts.
It can look cheaper upfront, but we can only warranty installation quality, not a unit we didn't supply, and mismatched units bought online sometimes lack the correct import/warranty paperwork in Kenya. Buying the unit and installation together from us means one warranty covers both.
